Professional Experience

Steve Williams concentrates his practice in the areas of utility/regulatory law and business and corporate law.  Steve is a member of the Firm’s Regulated Utilities Practice Group and Business & Corporate Law Practice Group. Prior to joining the Barber Law Firm in 2020, Steve served as assistant general counsel for Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation and Arkansas Electric Cooperatives, Inc. for almost 29 years. He has extensive experience representing electric public utilities, including regulatory proceedings before the Arkansas Public Service Commission, financings, power plant and other utility asset acquisitions, ownership and operating agreements for co-owned power plants, and power purchase agreements. He also has extensive experience in the areas of general corporate and business law, including unique knowledge and experience in the areas of electric cooperative law and regulation.
