Michael Lee Wright joined the firm in 2006. He concentrates his practice in the area of civil litigation, including personal injury defense, insurance defense, subrogation actions, and products liability defense.
He also practices in the area of Workers' Compensation defense.
Mr. Wright is licensed to practice in both Arkansas and Tennessee state courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas, as well as the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the American, Arkansas, Pulaski County, and Knoxville Bar Associations.
He received his Juris Doctor degree from The University of Tennessee College of Law in Knoxville, Tennessee, in 2005. While in law school, he served as Research Editor of the Tennessee Law Review. His case note, Civil Rights Time Limitations for Civil Rights Claims Continuing Violation Doctrine, was published in the Winter 2004 issue; 71 Tenn. L. Rev. 383. In addition, Mr. Wright received a Dean's Citation for his role in coordinating Orders of Protection trial dockets that were heard at the law school. He studied for one summer term at Downing College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, England. After graduation, Mr. Wright completed a clerkship with the Honorable Gary R. Wade, Presiding Judge of the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals.
Mr. Wright graduated with distinction in Sociology/Anthropology from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas, in 2002. While at Hendrix, he was involved in several organizations and served as individual placement chair and vice-chair of the Volunteer Action Committee.
