Michael Emerson focuses his law practice in the areas of products liability, construction law, products liability, toxic tort and premises liability.
Mr. Emerson’s experience in products liability, toxic tort and premises liability is extensive and varied. He has successfully defended manufacturers worldwide in products cases involving heavy trucks, motor vehicles, industrial equipment, fire-control equipment, boats and watercraft and petrochemicals. He also emphasizes construction litigation involving catastrophic personal injuries and construction defects. His premises liability work experience includes the representation of several national grocery chains, retail companies and malls in claims involving negligent security and premises maintenance. He also in heavily involved in all manner of commercial litigation.
Mr. Emerson is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocacy, the International Association of Defense Counsel, The Defense Research Institute, the Arkansas Association of Defense Counsel and the American and Arkansas Bar Associations. His numerous speaking engagements include the Arkansas Bar Association on admissibility of expert testimony and the impact of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Daubert v. Merrell-Dow Pharmaceuticals and the Arkansas Trucking Association in connection with heavy truck litigation. Mike received a B.A. in History in 1981 and J.D. in1984, both from the University of Arkansas.
Mike is married to the former Kristin Tucker and the proud father of three children, Laura Ann, Bobby and Margaret.
