Jim Robertson concentrates his practice in the area of civil litigation with emphasis on cases involving product liability, employment discrimination defense, premises liability, and general commercial litigation. Mr. Robertson is licensed to practice in the state and federal courts of Arkansas.
Mr. Robertson received his bachelors degree from the University of Arkansas College of Business in 1992. He graduated from the University of Arkansas School of Law with honors in 1995. While in law school, Mr. Robertson served as a member and Note and Comment Editor for the Arkansas Law Review. He also authored Spradlin v. Arkansas Ethics Commission: A Hardline Approach to Separation of Powers, 48 Ark. L. Rev. 755. Since law school, Mr. Robertson gained considerable appellate experience while clerking for Justice Robert L. Brown on the Arkansas Supreme Court from 1995 through 1997. He thereafter acquired trial experience as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the Sixth Judicial District of Arkansas from 1998 through 2000. Mr. Robertson joined the Barber Law Firm in September of 2000 and continues to successfully represent clients at the trial and appellate levels.
Mr. Robertson is a member of the Pulaski County and Arkansas Bar Associations. He is also a member of the William R. Overton Inn of Court.
